Markus Duerring studied Biochemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and completed his studies with a Ph.D. at the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany. After working for 5 years as CIO in an analytical government laboratory, he joined MDL working as Project Manager and then IDBS as Senior Consultant. During the next 10 years he worked in various business consultancy assignments in the pharma, finance, retail and telco industry. In 2005, he joined Novartis, currently working as IT Account Manager for the Biomarker Development unit.
