What criteria make a top CRO?

The current Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) landscape is vast, with offerings from functional to full service CROs. Using a CRO’s expertise can maximise the efficiency of your clinical trials, but only if you choose the right one for the project at hand.

Before selecting a CRO to work with, you need to go through the long process of defining the key competencies your provider will have to ensure it meets your needs and drawing up a shortlist. However this is not an easy task: “Comparing CROs is difficult and sometimes unfair. It all depends on what the client pharmaceutical company needs,” David Holly, Director IVR/IWR Product Development at BioClinica recently told Pharma IQ.

So we at Pharma IQ want to help you on this journey by putting together a list of CROs that match your needs effectively according to the experiences your peers have their partnerships.
We know who the ‘top’ CROs are in terms of size  but this list should not just be about the biggest players in this space, we would like to keep other criteria in mind when coming up with your top CROs, including attributes like;

  • quality of services
  • flexibility of the partnership
  • metrics structure

Our aim is to put together a list of the top 20 CROs according to the positive experiences you have had with them – so they can be a small or even fairly new CRO, but consistently provide an excellent service to your organisation.

To help us create this, please can you take 3 minutes of your time to respond to the following questions. The answers will remain anonymous and to thank you for your participation, we will put your details into a draw for a complimentary pass to our Global Clinical Outsourcing Forum 2013, which is taking place in Amsterdam between the 24th and 25th of April, 2013.
