Amedeo Larussi will present a case study on High Power Antenna and Microwave Component Design and describe how a multiphyics electrical, thermal and stress analysis is required to ensure robustness. Amedeo has 27 years of commercial and electronic warfare professional experience with research, design and testing of antennas and microwave systems. He’s held the position of senior principal electrical engineer for Raytheon Company, Space and Airborne Systems since 2002. Over the years Mr. Larussi made important contributions to the advancement of finite array simulation techniques, and he was instrumental in the development of multiphysics simulation software. Prior to working for Raytheon, Amedeo was employed at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), L-3 Communications, Boeing, and Northrop. Amedeo received the B.S.E.E. (1986) and M.S.E.E. (2000) from California State University Northridge. He has been an invited speaker at several professional symposiums and has published articles on the antennas design. Currently Amedeo is conducting research on the application of metamaterial for imaging array application.
