Dr. Carine Peeters
After a PhD in Management Science from the Université libre de Bruxelles, Carine joined the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, as a senior researcher to help launch the Offshoring Research Network.In 2006 she moved to Solvay Brussels School and became lead partner of the network for Belgium. She is now professor in strategy at Vlerick Business School.
Carine’s research focuses on how companies of various sizes and industries can best leverage the opportunities that global sourcing of services offers. To that end, since 2004 she has surveyed the practices of hundreds of companies around the world and worked on several in depth case studies of organizations as they were reorganizing their value chain through offshoring and rethinking their business model and strategy in the light of growing globalization of services.
Through workshops and trainings she also works closely with executives and managers to develop and share knowledge on successful offshoring strategies and management practices.
Carine has co-authored several articles in leading international journals and is a member of several academic associations. Since 2010 she has joined the Advisory Boards of the International Outsourcing Forum and the European Outsourcing Association in Belgium. She serves as senior editor for the Management and Organization Review and is a member of the editorial board of the Global Strategy Journal.
