Marco Piovesan graduated in Political Science at the University of Padua. In 2004, Piovesan applied to the PhD program in Economics and Management of the same University. During my PhD, he spent six months in Alicante (Spain) to work at the Laboratory for Theoretical and Experimental Economics and then I moved to the University of California Santa Barbara for one year with a scholarship of the Education Abroad Program. In March 2007, he defended his thesis on "Contract Theory, Other-regarding Preferences and Incentives" under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Nicolò. After his defense, Prof. Jean-Robert Tyran offered Piovesan a post-doc at the Economics Department of the University of Copenhagen. Here he had the possibility to improve his experience on experimental economics and to interact with the CEE group and its affiliates. In August 2010, he moved to Boston accepting the challenge to work in an exciting and demanding environment as HBS.
