Andres holds a Bachelor of Engineering with a major in Industrial Engineering from the Peruvian University of Applied Science (member of the Laureate University Network), a Master of Engineering with a major in maintenance and reliability from Monash University, a Master in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia and is currently a PhD student at the University of New South Wales. Andres’ PhD project is focusing on topics related to asset management, life cycle cost, capital velocity and maintenance management. More specifically, Andres‘ project aims to improve the decision making process regarding equipment maintenance activities in order to improve the utilisation of resources. Andres has more than 10 years experience in a diverse range of engineering roles (maintenance, reliability and projects) in oil and gas, mining and manufacturing industries. For the last 3 years, Andres has been working in maintenance management roles, mainly in mining and mineral refining, complementing his education with hands on experience.
