Mary Ellen Caro and Sylvia G. Hamilton
Dr. Mary Ellen Caro is the Executive Vice Provost for Thomas Edison State College. In this position, Caro leads the strategic partnerships, military services and graduate studies organizations, as well as supports the Academic Affairs teams in strategic initiatives. Previously, Caro served as the Associate Provost and Dean of the School of Business and Management having joined the college in 2004, after a 25-year career with AT&T. Caro holds a Doctorate in Education in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania. She was also a Sloan Fellow (Stanford University), earning a Master’s degree in Management.
Sylvia G. Hamilton is the Vice Provost for Strategic Partnerships at Thomas Edison State College and cultivates and manages partnerships with corporations, professional organizations and community colleges. Hamilton joined the college in 2004 after a 21-year career in marketing and sales at AT&T. Previously, she was an assistant director of Undergraduate Admissions at Tufts University. Hamilton received her MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Oberlin College.
