Pablo Rolandi leads the Digital Integration & Predictive Technologies (DIPT) organization in Process Development, at Amgen. The team, based primarily in Cambridge, Massachussetts, uses digital transformation as a competitive advantage for drug development and manufacturing, through the application on enabling technologies like digital twins, the digital thread, data science, and talent development. Rolandi’s expertise lies in the domain of applied scientific computing, computational thinking and process systems engineering. His interests span digital transformation imperatives, including digitalization/virtualization and digital twins, and as well as leadership, management, the convergence of disciplines, and an agile workforce. Before joining Amgen in 2016, Rolandi held various technical and management positions at Process Systems Enterprise Ltd (London, UK), a company that provides modeling software and consulting services to the chemical process industries and the biopharmaceutical sector. Rolandi obtained his Ph.D. (Process Systems Engineering sub-field) at the University of Sydney (Australia) and a B.Eng. degree from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina), both in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a MSc in Digital Biology from the University of Manchester (UK).
