Nick Desrosiers received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Montreal in 2003. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. André Charette as a NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholar. In 2008, he joined the research group of Prof. Eric N. Jacobsen at Harvard University as a NSERC postdoctoral fellow. In 2010, Nick joined the Chemical Development Department of Boehringer-Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT and was promoted to Principal Scientist in 2015. He then moved to the Chemical Research and Development organization of Pfizer in Groton, CT in 2017 as a Senior Principal Scientist. He was promoted to Associated Research Fellow in 2022, then to Director of Process Chemistry in 2023, and has been the Senior Director of the Technology API group since 2025. He currently leads groups focused on various areas, including: biocatalysis, high-throughput screening, pressure laboratories, computational chemistry, automation & robotics, and technology operations. Nick was selected for the 2020 ACS Young Investigator Symposium, and he received the 2022 Pfizer Green Chemistry Award. He authored 3 book chapters, 8 patents, and more than 60 publications.
