IQPC’s Cold Chain & Temperature Control Global Forum brings together Pharma manufacturing professionals, supply chain and logistics partners and regulators to address evolving industry concerns

PHILADELPHIA, PA  – Pharma IQ, a division of IQPC, announces the 9th Annual Cold Chain & Temperature Control Global Forum, to be held September 26 to 30, 2011 in Philadelphia.  A global meeting for temperature control life sciences professionals, the Forum examines the modern cold chain – including all temperature range products and their regulatory requirements – as well as evolving sectors such as Medical Devices & Diagnostics, Generics, APIs, Clinical and Biologicsandcell therapies.

Cost pressures are driving pharmaceutical companies to look for new ways to collaborate.  Over the past eighteen months two companies – Tri-vizor and UCB Pharma SA – have been implementing a new concept for pharmaceutical distribution:  creating a horizontal collaboration – a cross-company supply chain.  In a recent interview, commenting on moving this project from conception to implementation, Sven Verstrepen, Business Development Director and Founding Partner at Tri-vizor stated, “What you will see in the future… is that more and more shippers will also talk to each other… and they will try to design ways of collaborating to leverage their joint volume, to synchronize that volume, and then to outsource the total freight package to a joint logistics service provider.”  To listen to the interview in full, visit this link:

These kinds of collaborative efforts and the growth of novel biological therapies such as monoclonal antibodies, cell therapies, cytokines and new vaccines, is setting the scene for tomorrow's cold chain.  The Cold Chain & Temperature Control Global Forum will reflect these changes in the global market and bring hard-hitting new information, peer-to-peer experiences on overcoming the most pressing issues facing temp control logistics and quality assurance professionals today.
