This annual meeting, taking place September 20-23, 2010 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA, brings together temperature controlled supply chain stakeholders from bio-pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, third party transportation providers, government healthcare agencies, pharmacies, freight forwarders, packaging partners and wholesalers.

Topics for discussion at the Global Forum include business strategies to

  • Comply with international regulations by deciphering cold chain guidance documents
  • Devise cost-effective temperature mapping strategies with packaging and transport providers to control ambient, CRT, refrigerated and cold products
  • Streamline global supply chains by syncing quality systems and transportation processes
  • Engrain security processes into the cold chain, ensuring safe delivery and protecting against product loss
  • Import/export temperature control pharmaceutical products to international markets, such as Brazil, China, Peru, Africa and Columbia

In addition to conference sessions, the meeting features a new seminar, Air Cargo 201.  As a continuation on the 2009 'Interview with an Airline' discussion, the seminar fully examines the role of carriers, ground handlers and shippers play in contributing to effective cold chains.
