10:00 am - 12:30 pm EST WORKSHOP ONE I THE CLINICAL TRIAL SUPPLY TOOLKIT

Kamal Amin - Head of Supply Management, Galderma

If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. New challenges are evolving all the time – but so too are the opportunities: if we stand ready to take advantage of them.

In this morning’s workshop, we pool are collective experience and imaginations to build a Clinical Trial Supply Toolkit. What are the fundamental skills and approaches that would make us such a toolkit? Who is the toolkit for? And how can you build a series of resources that everybody in your team can benefit from?

Core focus areas to include:

  •  Determining What We Need: We distil our way through the myriad of challenges confronting us to identify the fundamental factors that determine our success in any given situation.
  • Building Expertise: How can you pool knowledge & resources whilst ensuring that this is shared throughout your team so to enable all stakeholders to be successful?
  • Making It Tangible: Learn how to ensure your toolbox is practical, allowing you to apply it to real-world challenges and adapt it to new and evolving situations
  • A Team Effort: We each have different skillsets. How can you ensure that your people are well-positioned to play to their strengths and ensure that individual success translates into team success?
  • Leveraging AI For The Clinical Trial Supply Chain: We investigate where AI promises the greatest potential benefits. How close are we to achieving these benefits and what will it mean for the future potential of our supply chains?

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST NETWORKING LUNCH

A staggering 72% of clinical trials fail to meet enrolment goals, often due to inconvenient trial logistics for patients. Direct-to-patient (DTP) clinical trial supply offers a promising solution, bringing medications and trial materials directly to patients' but challenges remain.

This interactive workshop explores how AI can be harnessed to overcome these hurdles and empower a smoother, more patient-centred DTP experience.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Defining the Landscape: We'll establish a clear understanding of AI and its role in DTP supply chains, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • Conquering Challenges: Explore how AI can tackle common roadblocks, including improving supply chain visibility, navigating regulatory complexities, and determining the best model – fully DTP or a hybrid approach.
  • Temperature Control with Precision: Discover AI-powered solutions for maintaining optimal temperature control throughout the DTP journey, safeguarding the integrity of sensitive medications.
  • Empowering Health Equity: Learn how AI can be leveraged to remove barriers and ensure diverse patient populations have equitable access to DTP clinical trials.
