Donald Mallet

Donald (Don) Mallet, PharmD, MBA, is Vice President of Field Medical Affairs at Vera Therapeutics, where he leads the U.S. field medical organization and helps shape Medical Affairs strategy in support of the launch of atacicept, a potential first-in-class therapy for IgA nephropathy. With more than 20 years of Medical Affairs experience and over 17 years in leadership roles, Don has built and led high-performing field medical teams across biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations spanning nephrology, cardiology, immunology, and rare diseases. Throughout his career, Don has played key leadership roles in multiple product launches, organizational transformations, and field medical capability-building initiatives. Prior to joining Vera, he served as Executive Director and Head of Field Medical Affairs at Chinook Therapeutics, where he led field medical strategy for a nephrology portfolio and later served as integration lead following the company's acquisition. He has also held senior leadership positions at AbbVie, Bayer, and Akebia Therapeutics. Recognized for his strategic leadership, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration, Don is known for elevating the impact of field medical teams and advancing scientific engagement strategies that support both patient care and organizational objectives. Don earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and his MBA from the University of North Alabama/CSU. Please amend if you deem appropriate.
