Pharmaguy (@pharmaguy) – also known as John Mack – is the Publisher and Editor of Pharma Marketing News, an independent monthly electronic newsletter focused on issues of importance to pharmaceutical marketing executives. Pharmaguy is also an accomplished blogger. Previously, Pharmaguy – who was then known only as John Mack – was a consultant in the Life Sciences Practice at Answerthink, where he managed projects such as pharmaceutical direct-to-consumer marketing and physician web site development, privacy policy assessments, and HIPAA awareness workshops. Mr. Mack also owned and managed PharmInfoNet, a "Top 20 Health Site" focused on drug information content and databases for physicians and pharmacists. In 1999, he sold this web site to Mediconsult and became its Director of Drug Information.
