Firstly, "Data In" is discussed:

  • Where the data comes from – where is it created and stored. 
  • What are the relevant standards of data management in serialization – especially Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information Management (PIM).
  • The differences between static and dynamic data.
  • How to best implement. 

Secondly, “Data On” is discussed:

  • How data is transmitted to the printer and printed as a DSCSA and FMD compliant code.
  • Which technologies to use on specific substrates - direct print or print and label. 
  • Other areas such as pack handling.

Tony specialises in serialisation and the global traceability of in Healthcare and medicines working on behalf of major pharmaceutical companies in addition to International Organisations on issues such as traceability, software architecture, regulatory implementation of systems and various aspects of corporate evaluate and preparedness for Healthcare regulation and implementation and global standards. Tony has worked on the implementation of GS1 standards across the NHS/DoH in UK and until recently Tony was involved the implementation of a full Traceability system across Europe for one of the major legislative and representative governmental bodies EDQM in Strasbourg. Tony is regarded as an expert on GS1 Coding symbology and EPCIS systems in Healthcare that are facilitating the changes in healthcare across the globe.
