Dr. Pepe has a PhD in cancer biology and DNA repair and extensive experience in development and validation of cell-based assays. In her current role, Dr. Pepe scouts, manages and coordinates efficiency and innovation projects to improve process efficiency and ensure operational and organizational excellence. As a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Dr. Pepe fosters sustainable continuous improvement initiatives and drives the implementation of lean processes through innovative and digital solutions.

Annette Hellbach
Director, Head of Science Enablement Tools
Merck Life Science

Dr. Annette Hellbach heads product management for Merck’s data management and analysis tools for the digital lab. She has many years of experience in the lab informatics industry and has worked with customers on questions of which data and IT strategy work best in transitioning labs to the digital age. Hellbach has studied molecular medicine and obtained her PhD in molecular biology and genetics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich/Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry.
