The prominent session of the event was the exclusive case study from Roger Lauwers, Director of Clinical Supply Technologies & Jan Van Staeyen, IT Manager of Johnson & Johnson on their current strategies for JIT labelling and a surprise session on e-labelling voted for by the conference delegates themselves. With a live app demo and key insight from the man himself, Roger explained key concepts and ideas around this emerging technology in the pharma world.

Steve Jacobs, event Chairman said: “So I think that conferences like this are absolutely essential. This is where information gets transferred, this is where knowledge is shared and where successes and failures are shared.

“Really what’s amazing is we as a species learn more from our failures than our successes. So anytime I get to the chance talk to somebody that has made that mistake so I can avoid that mistake that is a wonderful venue. That’s why conferences like this are so absolutely essential for our industry.”

Attendees networked with old colleagues to potential new business acquaintances. The firms present at the event included the likes of Shionogi Limited,  Lundbeck, Almirall, Teva, Hoffmann-La Roche and Sanofi.

Conference Director Shamini Sandanarajah said that in her opinion: “As the producer, it really was inspiring to see the event come to life. It is safe to say, this is the most unique and most senior event in this space so far and provided a great platform for both sharing best practice and excellent networking. With patient centricity becoming central to the industry, cutting those overage and destruction costs are still as crucial as ever and new technologies becoming a need to have, it is vital for the industry to connect with each other to share their difficulties.
