Getting to Grips with the Estimation of Pharmacokinetic Parameters

In this interview Dr. Thomas Jaki, Lecturer from Lancaster University and expert in the estimation of pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters, speaks to Helen Winsor from Pharma IQ. He outlines the key issues which must be overcome when trying to improve the clinical trials process and the current solutions and strategies leading the way. Next he discusses how to assess whether the non-compartmental approach or modelling is the best option and sets out the methods available for the non-compartmental estimation of PK parameters. He also elaborates on the methodology for testing for bioequivalence using the AUC.
