The main challenges with brain bank samples is dealing with different sizes and  types; some are frozen, while others are at room temperature. This makes it difficult to collate and track  research, as the right technology is not always available for these studies.

Claire Troakes, Brain Bank Co-ordinator at Kings College London, spoke to Pharma IQ at the recent Global Biobanking 2012 conference in London, about her ideas for global standardisation around studies of brain samples and on her vision for neuroscience and biobanking in the future.
