NHS England makes Cancer Drug Cut proposals to prevent £70m over-spend

NHS England has reviewed the arrangement of its Cancer Drug Fund and has announced the de-listing of some life-extending cancer treatments. In a recent announcement NHS England noted that the decision to re-evaluate the treatments listed on the Cancer Drug Fund (CDF) fruited after projections highlighted that unless further prioritisation was employed spending was on track to rise to £410 million -  which would have been £70 million over budget.
