Charlotte Tillett

Charlotte studied physiological sciences at Oxford University before joining Herbert Smith, where she trained and then qualified in 2005. She joined Stevens & Bolton LLP in 2008 and became a partner in 2016.

Charlotte advises clients on the protection and exploitation of the full range of IP rights. She regularly handles IP licensing, joint development agreements, IP restructuring and transactional work. Her experience on contentious matters includes pharmaceutical patent litigation, trade mark and passing off disputes, copyright and designs litigation as well as actions involving breach of confidence and defamation. Charlotte has a particular interest in life sciences, and her technical background has assisted her with work in this sector over the past 10 years. As Head of Life Sciences, Charlotte leads the firm’s work in this sector.

Charlotte writes articles for numerous leading legal publications and has had articles published in PLC, Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice, European Intellectual Property Review and The Pharma Letter. She is also a member of the BIA, TIPLO and AIPPI.

Chambers UK lists Charlotte as a "leading individual" and notes that she "has fantastic technical knowledge blended with commerciality and pragmatism. She is a great problem solver". Charlotte is also recognised as a leading practitioner by World Trade Mark Review.
